North Lake Tahoe is known for world-class skiing and snowboarding during the winter and activities around its pristine alpine lake during summer, but many visitors are unaware of its shoulder season offerings.

We started with a study to truly understand traveler interest. Surprisingly, the majority choose leisure activities over extreme sports, which only appeals to a niche audience. North Lake Tahoe visitors ranked stand-up paddleboard/kayak, hiking, dining and scenery as their top activities. The Abbi Agency crafted a campaign that featured these activities, and showed how they were enhanced by spring and fall visits.

Treasures of Tahoe was the result. Each segment in the 12-part video series focused on a shoulder season activity and was accompanied by blog posts and a downloadable guide. The campaign was shared through social media channels and on a dedicated landing page on GoTahoeNorth.com.
